The holidays are almost here, and our Christmas shopping lists are getting longer day by day. While the best gifts in life are free, opening presents on Christmas morning, together with your family, is a very precious moment. But a gift doesn’t have to be expensive to be meaningful, so why not make a few of them yourself? They may take a little longer to make and might require more effort, but handmade gifts are more special than store-bought presents. Here are a few easy handmade gift ideas you can DIY with your family.
Handmade Gift Ideas For Christmas
Special Jewellery
Jewellery making is an appropriate activity for the entire family and toddlers and teenagers alike can have fun making their own pieces. All you need is a jewellery kit and a few supplies, and your kids can start crafting a few beautiful pearl bracelets for grandma, or colorful beaded necklaces and earrings for their friends and teachers. Besides improving hand-eye coordination in young kids, this activity allows all the participants to express themselves creatively.
Colorful Key/Ring Dish
Engage your family in fun activities and make your own key or ring dish to give as a Christmas present this year. Use clay and mold it in the shape of a small plate. Let it dry and use acrylic paint to decorate it however you like. Simple yet beautiful, these handmade dishes can be used for storing things like keys or any small accessories. Besides being a great gift for almost anyone, crafting ring dishes allows your kids to make their own unique designs they can be proud of. And the best part is that this is a productive hobby which you and your kids can continue long after the holidays are over.
